Elie Challita
Clinical Intern
Virtual Office
My name is Elie (Eli) Challita. I am a marriage and family therapy intern currently attending Liberty University. I am passionate about assisting individuals, couples, and families in areas involving adjustment, anger, anxiety, burnout, depression, self-esteem, separation, and stress. I am especially keen on supporting couples in enhancing their interpersonal communication and improving their relational dynamics.
Theoretically, I employ an integrative approach to counseling that varyingly incorporates a wide range of evidenced-based practices including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Gottman Method, Mindfulness, and Structural Family Therapy. More importantly, I firmly believe in the significance of creating and maintaining a strong therapeutic alliance with my clients along with its positive impact on the therapeutic progress/outcome. As such, I strive to embody an empathetic, caring, genuine, and warm disposition where individuals and their families alike are better heard, validated, and supported.
On a personal note, I am a husband, father, and working professional. Recreationally, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and engaging in sports-related activities including calisthenics, tennis, and weightlifting. Prior to embarking on my clinical journey, I worked in a variety of communal, educational, governmental, and ministerial/pastoral settings for the last 15 years.
