Hello and Welcome to Restoration Counseling! My name is Bianca Kooi and I have worked in the social work and mental health space for over 15 years, helping people manage their stress levels, identify core issues, provide viable strategies and assist with implementation. I utilize a wide range of techniques alongside my clinical expertise to help people transition from a place of overwhelming frustration and exhaustion to a place where they can achieve their goals and live the life they WANT to live. With particular strengths in family systems, I help bring families back together, stronger and more empowered. My expertise is in working with teens, individuals, parents, couples and whole family units. My specialties are trauma, depression, anxiety, family systems, women's empowerment and behavioral challenges.

More about me: I received my masters degree from Boston College, and that is the last time I have lived anywhere that gets snow! A Chicago native, I have lived in 7 states so far, but have found my forever home in Pineville, NC. I am a therapist, a wife and a mom who spends a lot of time outside the office cheering my kids on the sidelines of whatever sport is currently in season! When I'm not in the office, at a court or field, I am an avid reader and member of a book club that brings me great joy. I also love exploring everything Pineville and Charlotte has to offer, from the gorgeous greenways to the coffee shops and restaurants, I love to be out and about, experiencing the world!
