Hi! My name is Jerry Dye and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina. My experience has been offering counseling and psychotherapy services to children/adolescents and families. Please click below to read more about me and my experience.

A little more about me: I was born and raised in Georgia. I earned my Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University-Atlanta. In 2011, I moved to Charlotte and earned my Master of Education degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Winthrop University. I’m currently a doctoral candidate at the University of South Carolina working on earning my degree in Counselor Education and Supervision. I have more than 10 years experience teaching psychology and counseling in various colleges and universities. My clinical experience has been gained through offering mental health treatment in community mental health agencies. My practice includes working with children/adolescents and their families. I specialize in offering therapy for anxiety, depression, anger management skills, and focus/concentration skills for those diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity disorder, and LGBTQIA+ issues. I also have been trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) from Behavioral Tech: A Linehan Institute Training Company in Seattle, WA, and I offer DBT skills and therapy to children/adolescents and adults.

I utilize an eclectic approach in working with my clients, offering evidence-based techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Theory, DBT, and Solution-Focused therapy techniques. I view the therapeutic process as a collaborative one, working with my clients not to give them answers they need, but assisting them in finding their own answers to the issues bringing them to therapy. My goal is to create a safe and comfortable environment for us to do this important work.

I applaud you for taking this first step to seeking the answers you need and creating the life you would like to lead. The next step is easy!
